  1. I think it's just a quirk of this specific coronavirus- other more popular strains, like the common cold, show symptoms within a day or two of contracting it. And bats are flying little virus factories- their immune system is constantly in overdrive, which is why they're able to harbor so many different viruses without any symptoms. We're so different to them that there really is no connection between them being constantly asymptomatic (basically immune) and us being asymptomatic for 2-14 days before coronavirus symptoms show. It's just a feature of bat biology, just a coincidence that the buildup is similar.
