Isn’t it so weird that both crumbley parents had touchy-feely lawyers? 🤮

Both parents are narcissist, and narcs aren’t faithful so they were both banging other ppl on the side and hating on each other in their marriage. Most marriages between two narcs don’t last this long but I guess since they were both so checked out- that’s why they didn’t get a divorce. Society is much better with them gone.

@saradapagediocletian9707 actually it’s illegal to purchase a gun for a child and lie about it, and it’s also illegal to neglect your child to the point where they kill others. So you’d be wrong. The judge and 24 jurors also think you’re wrong. But I’m sure you think you’re right. Hope that keeps ya warm tonight lol.

No, different jury means different opinions so it could have gone any way (it only takes one to throw a wrench in there) . But the fact that two totally segregated groups totaling 24 ppl all came to the same conclusion in an area that has a huge gun culture says it ALL. They saw how utterly neglectful these parents were to come to those verdicts unanimously. 🙌🏻

And they KNOW that kid is troubled.

Both parents are narcissists, so he probably did really think he had a shot at this. Just like Jennifer thought she had a shot at testifying and winning her case which almost never happens.

@TimApple. actually I’m fairly certain they don’t care about bonding with Ethan . Even Narcissists will hang out with their kids but only if they’re doing something THEY (themselves) enjoy. My dad used to love talking astronomy with me and he even bought me a telescope- but I realized as an adult that he was a narcissist and the cause of my severe mental health issues (borderline personality disorder) and so, I researched the personality disorder to discover that he didn’t even love me. I was just a faceless person he did stuff with IF he enjoyed that activity. The rest of the time I didn’t exist to him or he was beating me for things I didn’t even do. I’m only sharing this to raise awareness. That poor boy never experienced love. Just two very self absorbed and abusive parents. It’s no wonder he’s a sociopath with a delusional disorder to boot.

@heatherloughlin544 agreed!! The way she heavily suspected he was gunna end his life after realizing he had the gun- that was a little TOO convenient.
6
He’s not very bright. But more so, narcissists are impulsive and selfish as hellllll. So for him to pause and think through on the consequences of his actions would not only be out of character for a narc, but it’s precisely why he’s there is the first place!!! The dude didn’t think about the consequences of gifting his mentally ill child a gun either 🤦🏻♀️ this irony is almost humorous if not for the fact that children died.
5
@dakotacoren6936 lol use your brain 😂 JUDGES will go easier on defendants that show remorse and HARDER on defendants that act like he did. Pay attention! Everyone who’s ever followed even a little true crime knows this 🤦🏻♀️
5
@HB-ey2dk yeah but I doubt she thought she was gone free. This dude went straight into shaking his head like he was in denial.
4
@deepsoultarot8272 I’d like to add that he was ILLEGALLY gifted a gun. Which is why the parents didn’t mention it. The school has a teenie tiny amount of facts while the parents had them all.
3
@hmmm8552 4th amendment- please educate yourself on Americans rights to not be searched without CAUSE.
3
Not gunna lie I was nervous because it only takes 1 holdout and there are some kookoo folks in the comments that sympathize with the parents (Although I doubt they watched the trial)
2
And I all but guarantee you that whoever was holding out in that jury room was told that by everyone else and caved rather easily. Because you simply can’t argue with that. Over 1,000 kids in the average high school and if you assume YOURS is the killer- that says a LOT about what you know your kid is capable of!
2
@Woodman-Spare-that-tree so you didn’t watch the trial? Got it 😂😂😂
2
@seekinggodfirst754 yes but the parents didn’t know that and didn’t bother to remove the gun from the home. Only after they got an email regarding an active shooter did they bother to think and by then it was too late. If they were GOID parents they would have 1) removed Ethan from school and gotten him care and 2) removed the gun it at LEAST locked that thing up so good NONONE could have hacked it.
2
@karenrosen2983 by all means go ahead and argue how holding parents responsible for this children is such a terrible idea. Go ahead, we will wait 😂. I’m assuming your kids suck and are breaking the law and now you’re afraid of being held responsible? Sucks for you- good kids start with good parenting and bad kids start with bad parenting. It’s ALWAYS on the parents. But if the state can prove a direct correlation- then they have a solid case. 😁
2
Schools are so insanely limited with what they can do. No crime was committed so all they could do was get the parents in and press them to get the kid help, and take him home. Parents refused to take him home so they kept him because sending a suicidal teen home alone is NOT smart. They can’t go through backpacks for just any reason- that violates Ethan’s 4th amendment rights, and all they had to go on was Ethan telling them he was sad (even those doodles weren’t enough because SO many teens doodle disturbing stuff and it never leads to anything) . Until laws change or ALL schools require parents to waive their rights to enroll their kid- they will continue to have limited power.

Welcome to narcissism! It’s icky
2
@Woodman-Spare-that-tree lmao no one believes that but the low IQ folks. They were HIDING in a warehouse basement with $6000 cash 😂😂😂
1
@indichic29 yup!! Narcissists are VICTIMS (in only their own minds) and will spend the rest of their lives regretting not having that abortion, and that’s it!! They said Ethan was a an accident and I think they meant to say… a mistake. I just don’t get why these types go through with having kids 🤷🏻♀️ you CANT raise a child without love and spect then to turn out even remotely ok.

@maxfrax333 it’s like Justice, only better 🙃 by the way- 333 is my jam!! 🙌🏻

@dakotacoren6936 lol disbelief? The only people who are shocked are entitled people who don’t take responsibility and think they should not be held accountable when they cause their kids to become murderers. The rest of us SANE folk knew what the verdict would be 😂
1
@adonyisrael1724 umm you just twisted that analogy into a pretzel. If a kid goes to a party without the parents knowing and gets drunk- that’s on the kid. If that kid drives too- that’s also on the kid. If the parents KNOW the child is drunk and hands them keys- THAT is officially the parents fault. The line here is CLEAR. If the parents KNOW then THEY are liable. Easy peasy.
1
This is not a smart question. Really? If a defendant is hard of hearing, you think everyone is just going to yell all day so he can pick up on what they’re saying? 😂
1
It’s in a different state, different sentencing guidelines, different judge, and this has never happened before so literally anything can happen from here. They can get almost nothing to almost life. I don’t yet know if the 4 charges will be concurrent or consecutive but we will find out.

Hannah from the Rust trial was just found guilty and she is facing UP TO 18 MONTHS, and that’s it. Apple and oranges.
1
I don’t. Logic says- the parents were neglectful and that neglect led to a mass murder. Parents are neglectful with kids because they don’t care, not because they do. So trying to get them to care is fruitless. Notice I’m not saying that they just didn’t know better- anyone with a brain does. They knew better and DID NOT CARE. So I don’t think this precedent will make parents that don’t care start caring. They can’t be bothered with their kids because they’re selfish narcissists. Trying to get through to a narc using logic is an exercise in going mad.
