  1. It’s never ever ever a justification. Ever. It shouldn’t even be uttered from defense because it only makes those listening angry they are even trying to justify it. With that being said, I have borderline personality disorder because my father was a sadist and a narcissist just like mommy dearest here. But my sisters didn’t develop it. Why? Genes. So comparing one person to another always grates on my nerves because it’s the combo of genes and environment that create personality disorders. I’m sorry for anyone that’s endured abu$e who came out of it with a PD, and those who didn’t who have to battle a treasure trove of other mental illnesses instead. It’s simply not possible to go through it and come out normal. 😢
