@Wuestenwiesel Sounds about right. But be an actual hidden gem to her because if you just fake it, she will eventually catch on that you are NOT an actual hidden gem to her. Why is it people don't get something this simple? That they must be in love with each other for real, then no one needs to play these manic control games?

Women want "Everything" within the limits of what their individual brain is wired to identify. Not "Everything" in an absolute sense. A lady who bags groceries might say "I want an intelligent man!" but what her brains perceive to be intelligent might be a man who bags groceries just a bit better than she does. Take heart, gentlemen. It's not as deep as it sounds.

@lyingdogfacedponysoldier5746 Not even close. Arranged marriage mentality. That's if they ever loved the partner to begin with or soon after getting together. It is absolutely not true that if people stay with each other long enough, no matter how poorly matched, they will eventually come to love each other. This is BS. Habituation and lack of better opportunities do not equate love. Love is not like a lie: repeat it long enough and it will become true. Nah-ha.

Unfortunately, not enough end. 50% divorce rate is way too low for a pragamtic institution that cares nothing for people's ,mental health, only reproduction and child rearing. We expect your people flooded by hormones and a desire to "fit in" to make the right monumental decision meant to provide well-being for a lifetime??? How crazy is this crazy? The divorce rate is way too low. Sane people grow, learn, change wise up - this is natural. What they chose at 20 would be absolutely nothing like what they would choose at 40, 50 etc. More divorces please, so people can re-group appropriately, in line with the wisdom many develop. The children excuse is just that: an excuse. Divorce does not have to mean abandoning the family they created originally.

@pcka12 Esteem dudes! So you think raw Control is the answer? If a woman falls out of love with you, there's nothing a single darn thing in this world worth its salt that will make her be yours still. Or do you just want to coerce her with a contract and use her body, as sanctioned by law? A woman who is not in love with you (not anymore or never was) - you need to let her go. That's all there is to it. You will even be at an advantage as it is easier for men to re-marry than for women. Quit the control mentality. It doesn't work. The more you try to control when she doesn't love you anymore, the worse your life will be, even if the law forces her to stay. What's wrong with you, people?
