You're saying men would never want to divorce? If women were not allowed to file for divorce, then no men would have any need for divorce? That says something about men then: treating women as interchangeable creatures. One way or the other, she just fills a role and it could be anyone. There must always be a mechanism for relationship termination in case the relationship is simply poor and the differences irreconcilable, regardless of whose "fault" it is.

@NamelessKing1597 Which one's worse? Monkey-branching is economics 101. Why would anyone expect any person to give up a mediocre relationship for nothing? After all, they could have avoided the mediocrity in the first place by insisting on waiting for the best. But people adapt to what is available to them at any given point in time. If a clearly superior alternative appears, only then does it make sense to renounce the mediocre option. Otherwise, why? People can moralize all they want, but it's pure common sense. Only a crazy person would proceed differently.

@gvis3880 People who buy into the organized religion insanity and think that symbols are real (words are symbols) deserve what they get, including poor quality marriages. Words don’t matter. Only the ongoing reality between two people does. As for the children cop out, it is both parents’ responsibility to cooperate as co-parents and take care of them, divorced or not. Funny how some parents can only love and care for their children while married, but not in a state of “divorced.” Divorced parents can easily be just as caring and loving as married parents. This is just using children to manipulate a partner to stay in a marriage that is no longer real or never was.
