I have had such terrible luck stitching so close to the edge of any fabric , for it just frays as I tighten it. So I always left a 5/8 or so . Nowadays when I home-stitch a seam I find it safer /but not easier to do a French seam. Maybe modern fabrics are garbage; but they always fray before I can stitch close to the edge. I find this frustrating. You do such a neat job! I love watching your work. Thank you
