With the general conversational questions like - "What do you listen to" or "What is your favourite game", I think most people have a pre-set answer for those and it doesn't change much, it is just an ice breaker to move on to more interesting topics or to find shared interests and ideas and connect better with the person. As with a lot of these questions, I usually state "everything pretty much", with just an emphasis on what comes to mind or what I can remember recently enjoying, this gives me the freedom to not stress about it but to be specific if I want to, but those questions can sometimes still take me by surprise.
