  1. I have a few chips on the hood of my IS 500 and have for months. But they still look the same - no rust... I guess that proves it's an aluminum hood instead of a good ole steel one like the GX has. 😂 I will have to get several places on the car fixed at some point. I have a few chips on the rear doors as well, probably from my tires picking things up and throwing them at the sides of the car. Kinda crazy to see something like this on a relatively new car, I must say. But, it looks amazing after the repair.
