  1. So true how we're used to this monster torque on many newer cars now. This weekend I had the opportunity to drive a 991.1 Carrera 4 for a day, and while it's the base Carrera, it's no slouch. But, at low RPM it's not the most torquey thing! Still, it was fun to drive, especially the few times I wasn't stuck in Bay Area traffic and could stretch its legs a bit. But you don't need a lot of mid-range and low-RPM grunt in a sports car when it is going to be wrung out a lot of the time. I like the smoothness and ease of driving an NA-powered car.
