  2. They hate and resent women. I once read a comment a man made; "A woman is good for only one thing. Two, if she can cook." The best way for a woman to avoid such a situation is to associate only with men who respect women. Watch how he treats his mother and sisters, because that's how he'll treat you.

  3.  @Neptunianist  - between watching their fathers beat their mothers and single parenthood, boys can learn some pretty negative beliefs about women. I've known a few women who were beaten by their sons. One mother was so psychotic, I would have helped her son! It sounds like you're from a rather positive environment, which is why you have a hard time understanding it. Good for you! We need more environments like that.

  4. Good point. But remember, the police would come to their parties to bust them, only to stay and party with them. So, calling them would have done no good.
