  1. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. Both sides of my family have hay fever. I started getting it when I was 24; I would suffer one day every April and October. I experienced no allergic symptoms when I lived on Oahu, or in the Seattle area or Kailua-Kona. However, I got them when visiting Portland and Mt. Hood, and once I moved to Hilo, I suffered big time, year round. I cut back my symptoms significantly by putting local honey in my daily coffee. I found it also works when I visit Portland and Mt. Hood.

  2. @revtune  - I don't think it's dairy, because it doesn't happen all the time or everywhere. Some plant in Hilo blooms at night, worsening my symptoms. Also, I think it's the mold, since Hilo is very rainy.
