How ironic - the aerial view of the school at the end is shaped like an F!

Ellen Haataja - go for it! At this rate, you won't be poor for long!

@r3v001 - I agree, those factors, plus HEALTH and WISDOM, are just as important as money, if not more so. I have a friend who came from a very poor negative background. She created a good family for herself and retired in her mid 50s on a $14,000 investment! On the other hand is a neurotic woman who had a collection of wealthy boyfriends. She inherited a house from one of them, which she sold for $120,000. She blew that money in ONE YEAR! Ultimately she became homeless.

Victor Funk - today, someone who earns $250,000 a year is considered wealthy. $100,000 a year is considered upper middle class, but I personally would say I was wealthy if I had that much income with no debts.

With today's abysmal interest rates, unfortunately you have to take risks if you're going to grow your money faster than the inflation rate. Your best bet is to open a tax-deferred mutual fund, and deposit a set amount in it at least once a month. Mutual funds average an annual 7% growth rate. I calculated it out; if you deposit the equivalent of $14 a day, you can accumulate over $1 million in 40 years.

To tell you the truth, if I lived in a wasteland like this, I'd have mental health issues myself.

I agree with all of you. Obviously things are very different from the 70s; we can't just drift through life anymore. Before you graduate from high school, make a point of having job skills that will enable you to earn a living wage, no matter what your future goals are. If you go to college, GET AN INTERNSHIP!!! You need to be serious about a career in this day and age.

They wouldn't last 5 minutes in Africa! 😅🤣😂

@MrsBear-sv6wo - Motown left because of the riots. That tells you something right there.

And traditional Muslims.

Reminds me of the Pat Benatar song: "You want me to leave. You want me to stay. You ask me to come back; you turn and walk away. You wanna be lovers. You wanna be friends. I'm losing my patience; we're nearing the end. One of these days, you're gonna reach out and find, the one that you count on has left you behind..." Then what???????

It's not both parents working. It's single mothers on welfare.

While that's not true of all homeless people, I see your point. Just don't hold your nose too high in the air, or you may stumble and fall among them. The biggest cause of homelessness is housing costs too high for wages to keep up with them. There are Google employees living in the parking lot because they can't afford rents anywhere in the Bay Area.

What difference does it make who he voted for? Ultimately, it's the Electoral College that determines who wins the election.
