  1. Lester Spence's story gives me the heebee-jeebs! 1.0 is supposed to equal 1! He should have had it out with the teacher! I have been a substitute teacher since 2002. In one middle school, which has since gone public charter, the math class consisted of copying diagrams to draw pictures! This made absolutely no sense! Both these men are definitely right that students are not being prepared for the job market! Regarding computer skills, kids need to attend computer camp. High school students should also look into attending "trade school" at the local community college BEFORE graduation, so they can immediately support themselves. Maybe one reason students act out is because they don't understand the purpose of an education in the first place!
