  8.  @cculler52  I teach a course in environmental biology, kiddo. You see all life on this planet is carbon based. If carbon dioxide in the atmosphere drops below 150 ppm, all plants die. Increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and plants grow better, and they're able to grow with less water so the grow in more arid places. Life needs CO2, more is better, up untill around 5000 ppm. That's 10x higher than where outdoor CO2 is at now. Go read the reports and papers instead of just the msm headlines.

  11.  @mweathers79  it's a hypothetical situation. I think it's somewhat important to raise children to effectively operate within society. Robbie says raise your children anyway you want to because of his libertarian background, but there are some ways of raising children that are probably just plain wrong. My Dad chained me to my desk and the only way I could escape was to do long multiplication and division and graph functions. I hated it, it was pretty awful at the time, but I ended up light-years ahead of my classmates in nearly every subject except art. I think that's a good way of raising children, similarly some kids get chained to a piano or other musical instrument. Many kids don't get this anymore...

I guess you could solve world hunger by killing everyone, but that seems like what a cold psychopathic AI would do.
