@Flexible_photon well, for a little while, it made people seem really smart.

@theultimatereductionist7592 why does anything have usefulness? If it brought you happiness, then it's useful. I happen to like art, and everytime I watch people dance they're usually smiling.

Penrose and hossenfelder are giants. The Kaku, a mere shadow.

No reasonable predictions found with String Theory.

@jemsnowdon glib comments are just echos of intelligence from alternate universe in super position with our own

@BarriosGroupie information wants to be free

Consciousness seems to be an emergent property of systems adapted to operate with certain sensory input.

Nothing like a wall of mathematics to hide a suspect theory. Perfect camouflage.

@dougalsii I go to the theater to see things that make me feel certain ways. A good engaging film will lead you through a variety of emotions. Recall that scene in High Fidelity when they put the beat down on Shawshank guy with the telephone, or when we find out that Jack black's character is actually a talented performer.

The kaku can't show any evidence for other big bangs. Hell, the evidence for our big bang has a few issues that we don't understand.

@MrKangdon hahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Ed Whitten? Hmm. Well, gen x physicists aren't really impressed with string theory.

Its a model that doesn't really seem all that useful. It doesn't make any observable predictions.. Also, it was invented by that clown, the Kaku.

Yes. Kill string theory.

@melgross well, we can't see dark matter... So perhaps MOND made sense. I often wonder if the universe unrolls space slightly wrinkled sometimes, at least at huge galactic scales. Then matter gets stuck in these wrinkles, like lint in your belly button. I guess there's a possibility that there extsts a wee bit of structure in empty space at large scales. Gravity is a spacetime warp, but who ever said spacetime MUST be completely flat everywhere?
