You do not realize, bankruptcy is a wealth sheltering mechanism.

@miyu4043 that sounds like poor water management problem, not a problem with nuclear power. If you have energy to spare, you can get massive condensers to pull water right out of the air.
8
Hey Asshat... take this video down. You were wrong about this. The AMA reversed their findings. Funny how that is after Trump has lost election. You're a shitty scientist.
5
Yet there's only been 1.1° C temperature rise since the begining of the industrial age. How does this compare to the amount of energy from volcanic release, not just big explosions, its all of them.
4
Complaining about these deniers doesn't do much to solve the problem. Complaining about the problem does, however, get Thunderf00t views on YouTube. Don't you tubers get paid for making videos? Is Thunderf00t profiting off climate change in some small way?

@mattsmith1440 I like fossil fuels. Releasing CO2 is probably good for the environment. You see life on earth is carbon based. We're already seeing plant life thriving from the increased concentrations. Also, if there is some slight temperature increases, the latest IPCC report says we can expect wetter climates and longer growing seasons. The tropics are where most biodiversity is.

Phil is just jealous of elon musk.
2
Phil you're not even a citizen of the USA. You're unqualified to have a meaningful opinion.
2
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
2
Honestly, it just sounds like Thunderf00t is jealous he can't be Iron Man.
2
Problem is we have really awesome carbon nuetral energy technology that we just aren't using. Nuclear Salt Reactor for the win!!!
2
Carbon Dioxide doesn't heat up the planet. The sun heats up the planet. The 2019 nobel prize in physics showed that CO2 in the upper atmosphere actually cools the atmosphere because its a pretty good infrared emitter.
2
Hanlon's razor. He could be remarkably stoooopid.
2
I think thunderf00t is just jealous.
2
You are aware that it's probably not humans causing this. Well, if we are causing global warming, it's selection bias. If you hire a bunch of scientists to measure global warming, they'll find global warming. We should not do this. It's a terrible idea.
2
Dude, being right doesn't make you popular. You're not very diplomatic and often somewhat insulting, why would you think your crummy videos would show up on a google search? Maybe you're just another opinionated voice spouting ideas that we've all heard.

This the part where thunderfck strawmans everything..
1
Phil sounds even more butt hurt he isn't Elon Musk even more than usual.
1
Phil doesn't provide negative feedback. He is just a dick.
1
You're conflating preserving people's livelihood with saving lives. I don't agree with the stimulus bill, but I can see that you're comparing apples to oranges. I think we need to stay closed untill June maybe... I dunno.
1
Oh come on, man. We've had fusion for 40 years now, it's just too dangerous. Imagine a small fusion reactor the size of a laundry machine. Let's say it's around 15kw or so, but with standard fuel it shits out a piles of neutrons. No problem you might think, just put some sheilding on that thing, but some enterprising disaffected youth decides hack it up with some depleted uranium or thorium. Now you have a machine that creates weapons grade nuclear explosives, plutonium or uranium 233. Fusion will be a secret out of reach for quite awhile longer.
1
Yeah, Hank Green is a moron anyway.
1
Funny, last i checked humans didn't control the climate.
1
Phil can't do much other than cry about elon musk. What a loser.
1
Phil sounds angry that he he isn't Elon Musk.
1
@MrAlanCristhian no when you're super freaking wealthy, there are lots of ways to hide money from the government. Truth be told, I like Elon Musk a lot more than the US government. Laws in the USA are mostly property laws to protect the people for government dip shits
1
Are you kidding me? You took the time to bust this stupidity?
1
Emotional responses from claiming extension crisis? Like climate change? Like covid? I dunno, dude, you pick and choose your facts.
1
Freezing water desalinates naturally. Take sea water and allow part of it to freeze, the ice will have less concentration of salt.
1
Wtf do you care, Phil? You just sound like a jealous woman at this point.
1
Also, seeing as we really don't understand climate well enough I think it's probably a bad idea to try any geoengineering. I like the world being warmer and I like to that there is enough CO2 in the air to grow plants.
1
The more thunderfoot rails against Elon Musk, the more it seems he is desperately jealous. Why does he care so much? Its like thunderfoot is an evangelist for the anti-elon cult.
1
I dunno... It sounds like you're jealous.
1
I would like to see Phil in a debate with a real scientist.
1
Phil is just jealous that Elon has money and Phil is an aged looser
1
Interesting how this turned into dunking on elon musk.
1
Grow trees and bury them.
1
Welcome to another episode of a pretend scientist complaining about people who actually try new ideas.
1
The oceans are not acidifying. Lightning arcs across the sky and causes lots of nitrogen and oxygen to recombine into nitrogen oxides. The rain and moisture picks up this and forms nitric acid. The pH of rain is typically 5.5 with nearly zero help from carbon dioxide. Only 1% of carbon dioxide dissolved in water contributes to carbonic acid formation.
1
Video drips with Phil's jealousy.
1
Its like phil and elon are polar opposites. Elon is a very successful business man and richest man in the world. Phil is a largely irrelevant youtuber. Gee, who would you trust more?
1
You're not valid information, Phil.
1
Unqualified to have a reasonably valid opinion.
1
Impossible? No. Highly unlikely, yes. With our knowledge of physics, we know we could get to other star systems in a few thousand years. There could be a giant generational alien ship on the far side of the moon or hiding behind Jupiter. Then there's always a chance we find a way to side step huge distances from here to other star systems like stable wormholes. Unlikely, YES. Impossible No. It was once said heavier than air flying machines would never be a reality. Energy from the atomic nucleus would be impossible. Rockets would never leave Earth's atmosphere. All wrong.
1
@scottydog9997 he's not one of my species, he looks like the one of those dumb trolls from the oort cloud.
1
So, here is another thought, if the surface of the earth is warming up that reduces the ability of carbon dioxide to dissolve in water. In a global warming senario, the oceans would net emit carbon dioxide as their ability to absorb CO2 is diminished. Wouldn't that make the oceans more alkaline?
