@thecatcameback3921 I was a pirate on the mighty Saskatchewan. I was stealing wheat and barley, and all the other grain. But now winer is a coming and a chill is in the breeze, so my pirate days are over once the river starts to freeze!

So... Harsh winters but there's really global warming? How does warmth make an incredibly cold winter? Shouldnt glibal warming make the poles warmer?

NEW fuel rod is enriched to contain up to 5% uranium-235 (U-235) A used fuel rod has less than 1% fissile uranium and about 1% fissile plutonium. there's a bunch of other radioactive isotopes, cesium 137 and strontium 90 are the majority. these have a half life of around 30 years. so.... you take four steps back and 1 step forward.... I think plutonium fission and uranium fission reactions release slightly different amounts of energy, but its like a 5% difference... Note, though... the plutonium wasn't there BEFOR running that fuel rod assembly through the reactor... you could seal up a bunch of the nuclear waste in the hot end of a Stirling Engine no problem. I heard that the waste stay in the cooling pool for like ten years before they can go into dry storage... that waste heat must not be really worth the effort....

@mikerambles4719 ironically, there IS a sand shortage. Sharp edged sand is desirable for construction because it locks together. Desert sand won't do well. High grade silicon sand is mined for semiconductor industry.

It's wrong though.
