  2. I wanted to make an e ink reader for super cheap, like as cheaply as possible so people in "developing" countries could have unlimited books. The device only needs power when turning the page, in rewriting the screen. I figured a small magnet and crank could be turned a few times to make enough power to read a few pages. Or a solar cell. Whatevers.
