@oldbatwit5102 big ones can be very quiet

Damn you sold me. Subbed.

Wavy thing is either a "swash plate" or a wobble plate. This is an axial engine design.
3
Then you turn into a wavy thing?

What about efficiency? I am always curious if I can beat the power company. With a Stirling engine, coal might beat electricity company

@lassikinnunen true, if you can't make it work in practice, it's not great... Though that's what engineers do, find a way to make it work.
2
Exponentially increasing torque? I don't think so. Its definitely linear.
2
That's a lousy gear ratio. Always use prime numbers in your gears if you want reasonable wear patterns.
2
NASA is making a nuclear free piston Stirling engine, replacing the current MRTG.
2
Exponentially increase torque? Gear ratios are ratios, not exponents....

Ok. So we need to make a spring that changes its spring constant when it spins around really fast...

I find it strange you think driving has much to do with whateverclimate catastrophe some alleged scientist predicted

Gear ratio 11 to 23 would be far better. Primes are good to prevent uneven wear....

Hmm... Maybe a rotating piston would be really good in a stirling engine. The pison rotation would drag the working gas between the cylinder and piston leading to a reasonable gas bearing.
1
Radial symmetry with a wobble crank would work pretty well too.
1
Hum... Could this be an ultra light engine?

Wavy thing is called a swash plate.

I looked thru the comments... I didn't see that much hate dude. Relax. Its ok.
