I would say the air input only accounts for a tiny bit at the beginning, the plunger does keep it well separate from the chamber. Most of the thrust here is from the reaction making steam, just like the Heinkel rocket plane did with the same fuel combinations.

Tomato junoir, soon to be known by the nickname "Paste".

Time to learn how to melt ABS plastic with sugar, and then cast it into a thin wall steel pipe with a ceramic nozzle on the end. That way you will not have the burn out issues.

Need to make that compressor a little larger, and introduce it to the friends of Mr Tomato, and see if you can make instant tomato soup with it.

How about a turbo driven sandwich toaster, so you can heat the sandwich to a nice melted cheesy blend, in the shortest time possible.

Basically you have remade the old German V2 rocket fuel, which used 70% peroxide for oxidiser, permanganate for catalyst, which decomposed to steam to drive the turbopump that pumped LOX and alcohol for the rocket. The Heinkel rocket plane though used the peroxide and permanganate alone to power the aircraft.

Shorter line to the engine from the valve will help a lot with speed, as there will be less loss in dead space. As well use a different valve, you want a smaller one, that can operate at a higher frequency, and have it very close to the cylinder as well, which will help a lot with gas losses that are otherwise vented out.

Third chanber, filled with some open cell foam, would remove the residual water from the gas generator, and allow better performance. Also a reduction gearbox on the output shaft would allow the turbine to run at higher speed, so giving a lot better match to the generator torque demand, as the turbine will be running at around 10k RPM, but the generator will do around 2k. With a reduction box likely your power output will be high enough to run a car alternator, and light a 55W headlamp bulb.

@stephenroot1012 You can do it the same way desalination plants do it, by only boiling the sea water to about double the salt concentration, then using countercurrent heat exchangers to recover a lot of that heat energy and put it into the feed water, so it goes in at near boiling point at high pressure, and thus your boiler stays clean for longer. Yes you get wet steam out, but if you do not need to superheat it, and can use as is, then it will work with lower quality fuel sources as well, as you do not have to heat the steam to as high a temperature to dry it, and gain some efficiency off the wet steam in the turbine.

Manganese dioxide is very easy to obtain, simply cut open old cheap AA, C or D cell zinc carbon or alkaline cells from the cheap junk shop, and the black paste in there is mostly manganese dioxide, carbon and clay filler. But good enough for use here, you can even use a D cell with the carbon rod removed, and a hole drilled through the zinc case bottom, as the reaction chamber.
