  1. Too slow on the cooling, plus not hot enough in the melt and not enough stirring, so it was not mixed properly in the batch, and some areas cooled off and preferentially excluded part of the alloy.

  3. Just a little too much scrap chrome in that batch. But should be perfect to make a few pry bars out of it, or a nice extension bar, provided it is welded on to attach.
