Power cord easiest fix is to simply go up, and put a length of cabstrut rail from the roof down, and then put some cable hangers in the rail, and attach the new cable to that, and use this instead. That way power comes from top down instead, and you can have one less thing to worry about on the floor side. That way you have a few loops of cable on the top that will flex, and no fiddly power spring to worry about any more. Just going to need a good chunk of 16mm 4 core orange trailing cable, unless you look online for a surplus 80A 4 pole gantry power rail for an overhead crane.
