  1. There is an emergency shut off, and they can always turn off the fuel supply. Problem with the fuel injection system though, which is likely controlled by a electronic controller, simply because this allows the fuel source to be changed and fuel ratio to be very precise, is another issue. Single point of failure there, and will not be easy to restart either, unless the engines are also shut down as well. Unlike the electrical system no redundancy there.
