Thousands of WWII wrecks litter the mid Atlantic, a lot are very deep, and are not known where they are at all, so are still there as capsules of the time. Also a lot in the Pacific theater as well, along with hundreds along the African coast, lost through the ages, from the earliest trade routes down the East cost, to the later on round the Cape voyagers who were lost.
