Why (in your opinion) does the UK not have a meaningful pro-Russia right wing, in the way that the US and many continental European countries do?

@vanessali1365 What I was trying to say was something like "why do British Tories support Ukraine far more than US Republicans do"? During what we now ought to be calling "Cold War I" the West's pro-Soviet fifth columnists were (for obvious reasons) overwhelmingly on the left, but in Cold War II many Western countries have right-wingers who support Russia, such as the MAGA Republicans in the US, the Rassemblement National in France, and the Alternative for Germany. The UK seems relatively unusual in that Russia sympathisers here are still very few in number, and still mostly on the far left: George Galloway would be one example.

@vanessali1365 Have you not noticed that US aid for Ukraine has been stopped in the last few months, because Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is refusing to hold a vote on such aid?

I wonder how many MAGA types (and perhaps the rural/exurban right elsewhere, such as the Yellow Vest movement in France) believe that Putin (as leader of a petrostate) will protect their fossil-fuelled lifestyles from environmentalist attacks?

Which "illegal uprising against the legal government" are they thinking of exactly: the founding of the Ukrainian People's Republic in 1918?

Wasn't even Kyiv basically a Russian-speaking city until after the Revolution of Dignity?

Although Venezuelan oil is very heavy and sour (high-sulfur) which makes it difficult and expensive to refine.

@oldernu1250 Cossacks are the Ukrainian libertarian ideal just as western frontiersmen are the American libertarian ideal.

Even Bandera wasn't really a Nazi: his vision (however murderously executed) was one of decolonization, while Hitler's vision was one of recolonization.
