  2. I think you're confusing your German battle plans! The von Schlieffen plan was Germany's World War I battle plan, to concentrate the bulk of their power in the right wing of their army, which would push west through Flanders before looping down to the west of Paris cutting off the French armies. The Maginot line wasn't built until the 1930s, and the French expected that the Germans would try repeating the von Schlieffen plan in the next war. In fact in 1940 they used a different plan devised by Erich Manstein, where the Germans would lure the Allied armies into Belgium, before cutting them off from the south with a push through the Ardennes region (now to the southeast of the Allied armies but still bypassing the Maginot line) and on west to the Channel coast.

  6. Pro-Palestinian single-issue voters would likely either be extreme leftists (who are very small in number anyway) or Arab-Americans (who are only really an issue in Michigan IIRC).
