  24. agreed, if you think it originally had anything to do with self defense, you are wrong, muskets could not be kept loaded for safety reasons, it takes at least a minute to load a musket, nobody was using those guns to take out a burglar or assailant, the 2nd amendment was only about militias, as there was no standing army at the time
