@hughmungus1767 They likely have powerful relatives and get ignored for that reason. EDIT: I just realized that like of course the people doing the interviews would never be at risk, why would the Russian government arrest the people exposing dissenters? It's the interview subjects who are at risk.

Understanding that street interviews basically mean nothing and are mostly just a way to fish for the answers you want is basic media literacy as well. Like everyone should know that street interviews can never actually reach a statistically significant part of the population (how many people you need to reach can be calculated but it's usually around 0,01% of the total population) and thus they don't actually represent average opinion in any way. And media companies abuse street interviews all the time in order to present a certain narrative, there's several obvious ways you can do so. You can obviously just selectively cut the footage so only those with the desired opinions get included but you can also be smarter and just set up in an area where you know there'll be lots of people who'll support your narrative. It's pretty simple to just look at an electoral map and figure out where to go based on how each area voted. Like street interviews weren't a reliable source of information in well functioning democracies in the first place, they obviously are not reliable in an autocracy.
