Most Euopean countries also import their bananas, and many other fruits, from Latin America since those countries simply already control the market. The EU also has some pretty extensive trade agreements with South American countries.

That's literally just how it used to be before the internet.

@joaquinescotoaleman4320 It is probably cheaper than in the US. The reason for price differences like this is because the products get sorted and the highest quality ones get sent to the markets that pays more or just buys more in general. This is also why it's kinda hard to find good bacon in Denmark even though Denmark has an enormous svine industry. The good bacon all gets exported to the UK because bacon is popular there but it isn't particularly popular in Denmark.

@engliterra355 There's no such international law, countries just usually enter bilateral agreements that say something like that. However the enforcement mechanism for those kinds of agreement is usually that the country that sold the weapons will drop future shipments and support for those weapons but since the Russian arms industry is a bit tied up right now that's a pointless threat. There's essentially nothing stopping Eucadore from breaking whatever agreements it signed with Russia, or rather the Soviet Union but Russia might have been following up on it, since Russia isn't holding up it's end of the bargain anyways. Plus I'm sure the US or Europe would be more than happy to replace those aging Soviet weapons down the line.

They are probably going to do it behind closed doors now.

@borkistshorts7267 I mean tbf in English it's the exact same, god can both just be the singular noun for a god but if you write it with a capital G then it's the name of the Christian god specifically.

Maybe this was an initial experiment in creating biofuels since Ukraine has been destroying all the oil refineries.

@Mr.Funnyman273 you talking from experience?

That happens a lot because milk is massively overproduced and is a food stuff that can't be stored for a long time. The agricultural sector has some bizarre subsidies that create insane incentives a lot of the time.

Putin needs to upgrade his government type to deal with over-extension.

I think the EU should buy up all the Eucadorian bananas as a joke.

Farmers destroying produce to inflate prices is a fairly common practice across the world.
