  3. Ask your subscribers for local reports on crime levels. We are in a once-decent area halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. Violent crime is constant. A shopper was shot dead in the morning in the Costco parking lot by robbers. Home invasions by armed gangs , car thefts, rapes, are through the roof. We shop in pairs even in daylight. A young man was followed to an auto parts store and shot dead for two young thugs who wanted his car. A man was robbed in the grocery store lot at midday at the point of a gun. Gangs follow a car to bump it , “accidentally “, then steal it when the driver pulls over. A teenage girl knocks on a door asking for help, then robs the person. The criminals target nice neighborhoods because they know people aren’t suspicious enough. I pack every day now.
