  1. I’m looking after an elderly friend with a failing memory. It’s frightening for her to feel how she needs help. She keeps apologizing. And every time I tell her— you were a guardian angel to us—- and now we your friends can be guardian angels to you. It may be there will be no one for me at the end of my life— but I won’t spoil the Now with worry.
