  2. I was making deliveries in a rural area, chitchatted with people on a regular basis. One woman said she knew the neighbor’s teen daughter would lock her tiny kids in a barn stall so she could go into town overnight to party. She was afraid to report it. I figured out the address and stopped by , as if I was making a delivery mistake. Noted the distance of the barn from the house - and this is in an area that has wild animal predators. Short version: I made a phone call and they said my name and number wouldn’t be revealed. The police went and found the kids, the girl didn’t get them back, legal proceedings, eventually the father of the kids ( an illegal immigrant, unmarried) got custody. I think adoption to a good family would have been better really. So, everyone, you can call and make a report, let the professionals check it out. You won’t have to worry about revenge.
