  1. @Michael G my friends home schooled— the kids grew up healthy, confident, inventive, well-rounded, well read, independent. They are comfortable talking to people of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy spending time in their interesting company. I think all of us older people should be helping young families to home school.

  2. Washington state voted for a bill to allow the state to take kids away to enable the surgery. I don’t know what can be done. Maybe send him on a trip on the Appalachian Trail for a few months. Or to work on a fishing boat in Alaska -/ enough time away from social media to just think and move around and be challenged.

  3. I would think protecting your child is most important. Sometimes it takes a greater love to close the open hand. Prayer is powerful.
