  4. tinlid too learn as much as you can about your area— geology, birds, other animals, plants. That’s how I got used to the high desert - the brush steppe- of eastern Washington. Also - it backs up to mountain wilderness with canyons and some trees. I spent a month with no electricity, no phone connection— I think it changes your brain, waking up your senses of sight and hearing.
