  2. Car theft, burglary, purse snatching- not just in Seattle. Parking lots in the suburbs have a huge problem. Thieves walk out of stores with whatever they want because the policy is not to stop them— and they know that. At Lowe’s a guy walked out with an armload of machetes and axes, then handed them to his homeless friends from the growing encampment. No police. Even in the pricey neighborhoods, the homeless are living in the ravines. Bill Gates has armed security so he’s quite comfy.
