Jack- something maybe you can share with your subs. I caught someone in the middle of stealing my stuff in the shed attached to the back of the house. It was dark and at first I thought it might be someone I knew stopping by drunk. When I realized I didn’t know him, I went full crazy yelling mode- chased him to the street and down the road. Not wise. Never go out the door without at least pepper spray. I have weapons but I didn’t think ahead. I didn’t think he might have a long knife or a gun or an accomplice. I was just furious because I’ve been robbed so many times- car, etc. look up OODA loop: Observe Orient Decide Act I skipped the first 3 and went straight to act. A month of self-defense classes isn’t enough. You have to practice that OODA loop. Situational awareness is not just for public places. This is a formerly quiet suburb of Seattle. Now you hear gunshots at night instead of owls. Violent home invasions. Robberies at gunpoint in the grocery store parking lot at noon. Carjackings. I thought living in the ugliest shack would keep thieves away.

@truthseeker1959 I’m trying to move to the ranch country on the other side of the Cascades this summer. I have friends there and possible work. Thieves over there are a little more worried about facing a firearm for trespass. If I shot this guy here, I’d be the one in trouble— as I’m sure you know.
