“It is solved by walking”. As the wise man said long ago. When I was going through a hellish time, I would put off the intrusive torturous thoughts and tell myself I would allow them on my hikes. There was a 4 mile uphill hike and I would cry and grieve on the way up as much as I wanted- and I was always calm by the time I reached the summit and could be at peace looking at the sky and the view. The ocean used to be that place for me but it’s too far now. Sleeping on the ground might be important too- maybe I should look into that.

That reminds me of the scene in Captain Fantastic when the children go into civilization after growing up in the woods. They think there is something wrong with the people walking by.

@Paulo34343 this is a good idea. My sister did this- going to Colorado to work at a resort, made lots of friends from all over the world, got lots of ideas about other ways to live, learned to ski and camp. Food and housing was covered so she was able to save money to go to college. All while having some fun every day.
