  1. @jane burke I’ve traveled across and around the country, mostly staying in small towns and the smaller cities. There are plenty of people living by traditional values and there is so much natural beauty in the landscapes and wilderness. People still come together in times of disaster and challenges. The media chooses to cover riots rather than peaceful cooperation. I’m dreading the end of the latest trial- whatever the conclusion, there will be destruction in the cities. I hope you can visit someday and experience the beauty of the wild places and the friendliness of the small towns.

  2. Thank you for sharing that perspective. I’ve seen many times for myself how the media spins their stories. I’ve been to protests and speeches in various cities over the last 20 years, then watched how these were covered in the news media. Now there are thousands of independent people documenting events and putting their videos up on several platforms so we have a better chance at finding the truth. There are plenty of current examples of the media lying by omission, by careful editing of video clips.
