  5. I made a short video on how I cut grocery bills in half. And really, I could cut more this time of year. I pick fruit and berries locally, make jam and syrup. You can make your own ketchup that is healthier, no corn syrup. Make biscuits, muffins, quick breads from scratch. Stew, soup- so much variety. Make dumplings yourself, experiment with spices. Buy a 20 pound sack of rice so you always have a base. Go to farm area to buy stuff direct.

  8. Exactly. I stop in at 3 different places on my way home from work, buy things on extreme sale ( 50 to 75% off), then I come up with meals from the pantry. I never buy full price. Sometimes I find jars or cans for ten cents each. Olives, gravy, sauces, etc.
