  1. Not exactly, demand curves will probably push towards existing produce imports that already exist elsewhere. Considering that some of the largest producers in the US have completely automated systems; I doubt it would affect the US as a whole. It will ultimately hurt California the most though, since their state laws actively protect undocumented temp workers. This is where most of the farm-jobs are for those workers.

  2.  @Eyclonus  Until that happens; it hasn't been introduced. Trump claims that it will be arranged by February 1st if the cabinet decides to do so. If he does impose a tariff; I agree that it will raise prices on imported goods.
