Especially when they have a 'buddy' relationship with government for tax cuts and preferential real-estate. The Government is VERY complicit in this problem. Get rid of the mega-corporations.

I feel bad for anybody attempting to currently do gig work. That ship honestly sailed in 2022. Work volume was already hitting record lows by January 2022 and they never picked back up during the Spring and Summer that year. I ended up wrecking my car September that year, but it was a wake-up call regardless. There was no money in gig anymore. I still talk to people that currently do it and it's dog-eat-dog at this point. The only people making money are people that have created a client-list and are working as personal taxi's or delivery drivers undermining the app. Pretty much all the gig workers waiting around the fast food restaurants disappeared because there is no work available.

Just wait until 40 million illegal immigrants get amnesty. You'll never be able to find a job again.

I'm not trying to be rude, but that's not a solution. Corporations are cutting corners and scorching earth because they are desperate to keep their profit margins to stay afloat. Nobody except hedge-funds are actually doing well. All of this comes down to US fiscal policy and an imploding demographic problem.

The government is complicit bud. I's a horrible series of incentives that corporations take advantage of and the government looks the other way. If they weren't constantly giving preferential tax/real-estate treatment to these behemoths; this would never have happened. There's no incentive for ethical behavior; only the bottom line. Not to mention, they can simply 'bulk-sell' your data for profit when times are tough. I'm from Ohio and state law allows state agencies and corporations to sell your data. This isn't capitalism OR even socialism. It's a Feudal-technocratic state.

@sofiars0922 Nothing will change. If anything, he'll fire Jerome Powell (like he wanted to do in 2020) and appoint somebody that will slash interest rates. Everybody will celebrate and feel relieved. Then we'll hit inflation 2.0 in 2026/2027. People will feel like they got hit by a train.
