What do you mean exactly? 2012 to 2016 was when the economy finally began to get back on it's feet and enter a bully cycle.

Well, I think it was a mix of disenfranchised voters and media gaslighting. If they hadn't insulting voters to the core in 2015/2016; he probably would have never won the primaries.

Well, I think Trump is rather a byproduct of numerous things. Technology took over and social media corrupted a lot of the American public. Disenfranchised people and families continued to blame the wrong person for their woes and it resulted in electing Trump.

@samapak7 True and now the pendulum will swing the other way. Most people don't realize that a wing is rising until about 5+ years into it's progression. The right-wing began rising on the radical ends during 2019-2020. Radicalism in general is what destroys nations.

Most Trump supporters have always had a real problem with this guy. I guess Trump's intuition is to 'keep your enemies close?' Regardless, it's not like he really has any room to backstab. Trump put him on a pedestal; so he will either perform miraculously or he will embarrass himself and destroy his own career.
