It's insider trading to people that don't trade and don't understand the definition. You'll see the opposite opinion on most financial channels. It was publicly released and investors reacted to it. Trump made his tariff implementation public and his pause public; in advance I might add. Insider trading (for example) is when you invest in Palladium right before there are massive sanctions put up against countries that export it. Most investors are not privy to that information.

And what is your point exactly? Putting tariffs against Russia doesn't give the US any further leverage to de-escalate the war in Ukraine. If anything, it will just make it worse.

@AbqDez Try not to let media control your expectations. Propaganda is at a whole new level these days. I saw back in 2014 that the media was trying to pull something with the anti-Russia rhetoric. They were grooming the public to be ready for an full anti-Russian cultural movement. It didn't matter what the details were. Big money moves big levers. If you let them, they will have full control over what you think is important and condition you for their next intention.

@ If you look hard enough for illuminati symbols; you'll find some. That's just a basic joke inferring that (it's easy to find things that confirm a sort of bias). Giving favoritism to Russia is something the media loves to condition Americans on; it's been the narrative since 2016. We could say that the US is showing favoritism towards Kazakhstan, but that doesn't fit the narrative people are fed. Personally, I think putting tariffs against Russia would only exacerbate the problem. They are a nuclear power. Plus, we can't pretend that the US isn't involved in the creation of this war. Getting to the root of the conflict tells an unfamiliar story.

@ Insider trading means you are privy to information that is going to specific damage or create equity in an asset value. Tariffs create nothing nor damage equity. Being correct about a speculative reaction is not insider trading; as much as people want it to be. Perhaps I have a theory that releasing DeepSeek software information will disenfranchise thousands of tech companies and crash their asset values to day I make it public; so I short their stocks. = this is a similar example and is not insider trading I'd say it was a headstrong statement and a lucky one. There's no way he would know for sure how the markets would have reacted. Many times markets will do the exact opposite and are counter intuitive. If it was the opposing political party; this channel wouldn't have covered it and nobody would have cared.
