I think it's actually much more complicated than that. We've globalized trade beyond what anybody thought possible. So naturally the standards get raised and everybody is desperate to catch up. Inequalities run amuck when value systems change in a domain. Pair that with Price's Law and you get the current outcome.

Bernie and Ron Paul always seemed to grab my attention to most; seeing as they are most likely the only honest men that ever existed in Congress.

Kennedy 2024 all the way! No more D's and R's!

What did you mean by anti-science rhetoric via smartphones? Just curious..

How can he say this when he is literally a multi-millionaire with several homes?

@Wrestling-Nun I think that progressives share a lot more views with conservatives than people actually think. We both have a very common enemy here :)

Well, that's just the problem! You don't want these companies forming monopolies using patents and government gate-keeping. But, at the same time (will they still develop new medical technology or products) if you take the money incentive away?

Easier said than done! US has the largest health crisis in the world. Unless you get health under control and minimize hospitalizations; you'll just implode the deficit.

@Yanquetino While I may agree somewhat with that, mathematically I don't think it checks out. I mean we spend $4T on healthcare and $1T on military. Subsidies might be in a couple hundred billion I assume. Even if you removed all the subsidies and cut the military budget. You could have a situation where energy costs go way up and drive more people towards poverty. A lot of people are barely holding on anymore. Then, still not have enough. These companies are using government as a wedge to sell garbage and charge whatever they want. I think it's criminal that Medicare doesn't negotiate currently. Hopefully Kennedy can help sort that out, but I won't hold my breath.

You mean imported 1 million (non-assimilating) Muslims that are now 10% of your population, but you're too embarrassed to admit the exponential increase in rape is due to this? This is how political correctness kills nations; you're side stepping the issue because you're afraid of being called a racist.

@markpartin8403 I think that logic will have you chasing tails indefinitely; it's a good money maker. Which is why charlatans spin it as politicians or influencers. It's mathematically inevitable; given enough time. It just so happens that it's 'that time again' in human history.

Paranoia at best! Christian affiliation is in the garbage, especially with young voters. It will NEVER happen.

@pepperoniproductions69 DO you honestly think that children should be given sex changes or gender affirming care under 18? And if they don't then CPS should take them away from the parents? People that are at the front of the trans movement tend to fall into two categories. Corporate greed for medical surgeries and perverts/pedos that want to give children 'extra' rights.

What is a fair share? According to the IRS, the bottom 50% of income earners pay 3.04% of the total Federal Tax Revenue. That's people making $40k or less. Sounds to me like the middle class is affording everything for everybody else. While a middle class exists, that is.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that. As problematic as Trump and the Freedom Caucus is; nobody (even Bernie) seems to have a solution for the most pressing issues like Social Security, a potential failed bond auction, unaffordable housing, and above all else runaway inflation that will most likely resurge if the FED cuts rates. We simply don't have the GDP to outrun the debt we've printed. I truly fear for the survival of this country and the wife and I contemplate leaving it almost daily. You can't outspend a debt crisis; Democrats haven't learned that. On the flip side, you can't Reaganomics your way into prosperity; Republicans still haven't learned this.

@user-lv5bt3nt3r Well, there is no competition. If you look at Fortune 500 companies, they are almost entirely monopolies or cartels in their own domain. The Government affords them handicaps, therefore they can outperform anybody trying to outcompete them. Under Price's Law, corporations can't exist without government intervention. Make them play by the same rules as small business and they will implode. Lack of competition stifles wages and lack of transparency allows gate-keepers to inflate assets. It's all a racket where the corporations use government to protect their butts.

You can vote for RFK? I won't vote for these clowns. In fact, I'll never vote for a D or R ever again. Thinking 3rd parties can't win is part of the problem in this country.
