- Liberal - House is a complete mess, but filled with books and artwork. - Conservative - House is organized and tidy, but there are few books and the walls are dull. It's a pretty accurate description from a personality analysis. Though what fascinates me the most is how there are a large number of liberals and conservatives living out the opposite ideology. Hate to break it to you, but loving guns doesn't make you a conservative, and bring pro-choice doesn't make you a liberal. I'd recommend people take an official Big Five test. The results might surprise you or make perfect sense.

If all people do is listen to bureaucrats working for the AHA and FDA. Then you'll end up fat and stupid. Can't tell you how many people I've met in my life that say the same thing, "I'm following all the AHA recommendations but I'm not losing weight."

Plot twist: Communism never failed; it did exactly what it was designed to do.

@agentxcompany You need some fats in there; KerryGold butter is a good clean source. Also, if you're not eating organ meats, then you will probably need some supplementation. I don't feel there are enough vitamins in a cut of steak and virtually none in potatoes.

@prototype8137 Lots of people. They eat at 7am, snack, eat at noon, snack, eat dinner, snack, then eat a Papa John's pizza at 10pm after work. On top of 6 Mountain Dews. Trust me, there are demographics all over the US full of these types of people. It's primarily in black ghettos and in places like Appalachia. Though they are just the highest concentrations I'd say. It's rampant all over the US. We're talking shy of 100 Million people; it's that bad. Health freaks like myself came from the suburbs.

I fear that Nazism is just one of the several options you carry out when you finally understand how humans operate in the world. Obviously, the Nazis took it to extremes, but their decisions were not irrational. If you are purifying society to strengthen it, then potential enemies and useless people have to be accounted for. You have the option to: institutionalize, euthanize, or afford them a living. The US has taken the path of institutionalization and then affording them a living. We still have problems, but we saw how euthanization went. It was a horror show.

Public education is a Prussian design; made to create soldiers and factory workers. That is nothing new. What is however a new problem, is how much knowledge and skill is being retained as a necessity for conducting your life and producing skills. I'd say that probably a good 90% of your K - 12 education falls on deaf ears. Which means you wasted 11 years of your life doing repetitive and meaningless things in the classroom that didn't facilitate any long lasting skills. Considering that you can watch millions of hours of lectures on YouTube in subjects that you are actually interested in. I'd say that's a major new advance for society. Personally, I believe we could produce better and happier human beings if didactic education was reduced to perhaps 1 or 2 hours several days a week. 6 hours a day is not engaging for many, primarily men.

The Confederacy openly terminated the Bill of Rights as they did not believe in a Federalist state. You can't say that you're for apples, but against all trees lol It's an old and poor argument that holds no water.

Potato - pótato I think they're conveniently interchangeable whenever a person has a falling out with one or the other. I remember growing up in the early 2000s. We loved Bush, loved our military, loved our country, and loved the enthusiasm to invade 3rd world countries to rob them of oil and opium. After a falling out, the only thing left was the 'love of country'. But what does it mean to love a country? One can love many places for their geological composition. Maybe what we really mean is that we love our foundation? Men you never knew, parchment you've never seen, and that happened to be birthed on a specific set of global coordinates? I'm just thinking aloud of course...

I don't it so much as an evil plot, but rather an inevitability due to the tech/intelligence curve. You have 45 Million people with an IQ of 85 and below. You need at least an IQ of 90 to operate a smart phone. See the problem?

@cromBumny I can't find any 'reason' surrounding Marx. He was afforded his entire life from familial and associate wealth. Not to mention he endlessly wrote about his envies of society at the time. "A man should revolve around himself as if he were his own sun." ""Religion is an opiate for the masses." The guy was entirely in love with himself and revolved his theories around depriving those that had more wealth than himself. Pure vanity and envy.

I don't think he really knows what he's talking about here. Human history is the story of war, rape, and slavery from Ancient Greece to the Native Americans. I won't ridicule Musk for his stance on this issue; nobody is perfectly attune to all subjects lesser or greater. Our ancestors migrated routinely, freezing their butts off, fending off opposing tribes, and hunting what deer and foraging what berries/nuts they could. It's a story of constant conflict and conquest no matter what civilization you ran into. Clean water and a shared culture are what made us rise out of the dark ages of history. But even those events don't absolve us from our cruel human roots. People should never take that for granted.

Not gonna lie; I thought this was a Joe Rogan upload for a second XD

Respectively, from each side these days. It literally sounds like one side is denying any possibility that humans could contribute to damaging the earth, it's ecosystems, and atmosphere. On the other hand, you have a mob of people that will sentence you to hell if you don't acknowledge that the world will end in 10 years. The frustration is unreal and the source of the gridlock on the conversation is because all the dumb people are shouting.

Slowly, very slowly, as the union army won in the south. Thousands of slaves (one at a time) began emancipating themselves.

Something that most people are completely unaware of, but have already experienced; an economic crisis of age/labor. Inflation wasn't the primary reason that an economic crisis ensued post-Covid. It was largely because you had a workforce of professionals that was compromised of the most competent men and women aged between 50 and 65. The recession in 2020 saw the early retirement of tens of millions of Americans. They had a choice: be laid off or put on furlough with insurance benefits OR claim early retirement with their 401k or pension. Those people then retired from their initial careers; taking up side hobbies and gig work to stay busy. THIS is why these people still show up as employed or part of the labor participation rate. They are officially retired, but they are doing side work and NOT old enough to claim Social Security payments. We have a massive competency crisis ON TOP of a labor shortage and this is precisely why. How do you think people were paying CA$H for homes down in Florida? The last of the baby boomers and oldest of Gen X retiring with a wealth of money in their retirement accounts; there's you answer.

It's because almost everything you were taught is a lie; used only to capitalize on your ignorance. Birth, K-12, College, Work, Retire, Repeat. Healthcare is no different; it's all a massive lie. The conspiracy to continue to revolving door is very simple though; the people in positions (other than myself) know what they are doing. Go ask any medical professional why cholesterol and saturated fat are bad for your health. You won't get a straight answer and if you do, it will be along the lines of a shallow, "It clogs your arteries excuse." Nobody actually knows what they are doing; they rely ENTIRELY on the faith of other people that claim the same thing. These last two years have turned me into an outright anarchist.

@cromBumny You're basing conservatism on a modern interpretation of politics that have taken place during the 20th century. China has an extremely conservative culture, but that didn't stop them from euthenizing 300 Million children. The terminology of conservatism has been made political. It has nothing to do innately with religion or 'best parts' of society. It's a set of personality traits that prides itself on orderliness and low openness.

@burgermeow Survivors bias; almost all of those are either protected or live in symbiosis with other animals. Birds are different because they have the ability of flight, which to a large extent puts them in their own category against predatory birds. Predators thrive because they have the intelligence to either incorporate or conquest similar or lesser animals. The only difference is that humans have cheat codes for infectious disease and agriculture; something that holds back all other life-forms from pushing out of their environmental equilibrium. No civilization ever persevered by sitting around and enjoying life. Unfortunately, you need constant struggle in order for humans to maintain their elasticity on traversing life; complacency destroy entire civilizations as we are currently seeing in the west. Wisdom cannot be taught; only experienced. So naturally it would seem logical (imo) that intergalactic civilizations are at the very least incorporative (for resources and labor); basically indentured servitude or passive servitude. Which is also a key sign of a dying civilization. OR, they are in a phase of conquest with a rigid social structure that maintain tensions to avoid future complacency.

@yew2oob954 There would be far fewer wars without politicians. Let's not forget that World War 2 was a series of battles fought almost entirely through the lens of secularism. The entire foundation of Marxism is founded on uprooting religious foundation, as an opiate for the masses. Fascism and communism are undoubtedly the children of Marx. Destroying religion and religious people were some of the largest goals of the Soviets and Nazis alike.

I think it all depends on the person and what the subject is. To be quite frank, many of the realities that we live in would seem pessimistic and desolate; the kinds of things that make you lose hope in the world. On the same note, modern companies and politicians practice is every day; reducing the populace to a set of algorithms. So whether you are aware of it or not is irrelevant; it still affects you (until you take measures to alter it). This is why I urge people to become anomalies; do not follow the herd and trust nothing until it is proven.

Earth is essentially an 'outer rim' planet.

Maybe try sticking to mushrooms and carrots? That's what I do; try to make the meal as natural as possible. I'm not the biggest on red meat, but I try to stick to eggs, mushrooms, carrots, nuts, and butter.

@archmage_of_the_aether Closest one is technical 4 lightyears away. However, unless aliens are really patient with their travel or use some kind of (planet hopping) strategy to traverse the universe slowly. The idea of light-speed needs a massive overhaul. Even if it was possible; it's not feasible.
1
It seems a bit arrogant to assume you'd be one of the ones to stay imo. Unless you're planning on perishing with everyone else. Either way, it seems either narcissistic or self destructive.
1
Your ancestors didn't evolve to ingest "plant based proteins". Not to sound arrogant, but that seems rather self explanatory. Then again we have people that think Native Americans were eating sweet corn and peaches to survive.
1
Well, sharpen you skills and your vocabulary. One thing people largely don't realize is that the internet, including YouTube are the greatest wealth of information ever produced in human history. Most people will use it to entertain their narcissism on social media and watch repetitive memes whilst doing nothing with their lives. Some people will utilize it through the scope of responsibility and progress. Those are the people that will survive the next decade of technological innovation and cultural shifts. If you don't, then you're going to be left behind. This is a very unfortunate reality for many people, but technology is producing disturbing inequalities. Most people abuse it, while few people capitalize on the wealth of information.

Same, Cenk and Anna have been intolerable for years.
1
The danger of it being exploited? My friend, it's already been done. If using social media algorithms to distort human brain development and manipulate young people isn't exploitation by malevolent humans, then I don't know what is. Social media has almost single handedly created an entire generation of anti-social personality disorders. It has destroyed the incentive to maintain communities, intimate relationships, and having children. People will look back and say that Steve Jobs was the Karl Marx of the 21st century. Perhaps his intention was to allow people to better help each other and connect, but the opposite is taking place. People are actively using technology (in large) to dismantle all existing systems of prosperity.
1
Now we are sending off everybody with an 80 IQ and above to higher education; all for the sake of fairness. Or is it for the sake of greed?
1
Intellectual discussion isn't for everyone; most people prefer constant stimulation of materialism and simple stories.
1
The problem with the 'scientific community' (if you want to call it that) is that there is a major incentive to undermine the process if their is a massive power and profit outcome. It would be rather dumb to lie in your research about the minerals found on Martian surfaces. But it's highly profitable to lie about the research results of a Station, so that it gets approved by the FDA and sold to the public.
1
According to the USDA, there are 400% more trees now than there were in 1900. So why does the issue of deforestation still make rounds? You should calm down on your environmental stance. This kind of obsession and head-strong attitude is where eugenics and genocide get birthed. If you can justify that certain types of people (and/or) their diets are what's wrong with the world. Then I guarantee you can take it a whole long further. There's not a native tribe on earth that has avoided using animal products to advance their civilization and numbers; it's engrained in the evolution of our teeth and gut biome. Perhaps living a more communal and sustainable lifestyle is certainly a goal, but to blacklist people like that seems dangerous. I'm pretty sure him and his daughter source their meets from Georgia (White Oak Pastures) which is not a commercially abusive business.
1
The average person does not want to fathom the possibility that societal inequalities are caused by individual decisions. Acknowledging such a belief would infer that people are born inferior or superior; though it escapes people that these are "like was said in the interview" averages... Inequalities have only worsened as the decades have gone by and there is nothing on this planet that will make the average person thinks it's anything, BUT racism. That is why they continue to scream it day after day.
1
Well, that's why people often refer to survivors bias. It seems impossible that we are here and now. But at the same time, what gives us our first person point of view? Seems like a lottery ticket if you really think about it. Unless all matter has consciousness or something.
1
Sorry to burst your bubble bud, but mass corruption and a dysfunctional society can't simultaneously exist with a beautiful culture and people. Perhaps some small categories, but a country can only be dysfunctional and corrupt if the people are largely complicit.
1
The destruction starts at the individual level and expands from there. People can blame the tyrants at the top all they want, but that's not how human nature works. Tyrants rise because tyrants at the bottom put them there. We have half the population on at least one prescription drug, 39% rate of obesity, and everybody and their brother has access to social media. The health problem speaks for it's, but social media algorithms manipulate people to increase user engagement. If you give low IQ people a constant feed of controversial and hatred inviting material, why are you surprised that they are trying to flip the table? Nothing NEW is happening in our lives, it's the people themselves that are causing the division in their own hearts from manipulative media algorithms. Doesn't anybody find it interesting that such division began within the birth of Facebook?
