I think you'd be surprised how many people believe that the US is healthier than ever before. Not sure how they manage that belief, but..

@Watermelon_Man92 It's incumbent of the viewer to have a proper perspective of the interview, history, and relationship. Why do people assume that this is the sole clip? WSJ cut this video exactly how they wanted to in order to get the reaction they wanted. How are people still falling for this? Zelensky has thousands of interviews on the internet. He is NOT a diplomat, he's no a historian, he's not a military strategist. He is interested in a continuation of unaccounted-for funds going towards Ukraine. On top of that, what annoys me the most is the absolute ignorance among people that Russia is somehow solely to blame for this conflict. Perhaps the US shouldn't be (regime changing) Ukraine in the first place since 2014.

You need to see the full interview, WJS as usual cut this video to elicit the response they wanted.

@AkalaTanara The entire interview is 45 minutes long. Zelensky has thousands of interviews. He's not a diplomat or a historian. He's a warmonger interested in skimming the funds that Ukraine receives; war profiteering as usual. This was supposed to be a peace meeting. I don't agree with Trump and JD's take, but Zelensky isn't a good guy and especially not in this interview. He wants more money and for Europe/US to get fully on-board with a full-scale war against Russia. Plus, the guys doesn't even live in Ukraine; he has a house in Miami. This entire situation is embarrassing, caused by the Obama Administration trying to regime change Ukraine in 2014.

He already did, WSJ is manipulating your mind by intentionally releasing this edited video. They cut it exactly the way they wanted in order to make him look like a victim.

As usual, people think they're getting the entire story from a cut version of the full video. The media isn't stupid, they want you to have an anti-Trump and pro-Zelensky attitude. Anybody actually paying attention knows how phony Zelensky really is. He doesn't give a hoot about Ukraine, it's all about how much money he can siphon from US and European military funding. As usual, lefties are all about war and violence against the opposing side and off-ish about terms. All because they claim (in their narrow minded view) that Putin is the sole problem. Give it 5 years and they will be talking about how they went above and beyond to push for diplomacy. Vietnam and Afghanistan were no different. Progressives ALWAYS champion the violent approach and then rewrite history to claim they were about peace.

To be technical, the US started this conflict while regime changing Kiev in 2014.

Yep, the right wing thought they could invoke nationalism with a global economy lol

@AkalaTanara Context is always important though. If China had overthrown the Mexican government and waged a war up against the US border. Would you blame the US for invading? Same scenario with different countries in the current state of affairs with Ukraine. Focusing on (who was invaded) will warp your perception of the bigger picture imo As far as Crimea goes, the population of Crimea overwhelmingly wanted to be annexed. Why? Ukraine is a bully; same argument.

No it's not, it's all your perception. You need to see the full interview, WJS as usual cut this video to elicit the response they wanted.

Not really, it's just WSJ cutting videos to give ignorant viewers a corrupted viewpoint.

Perhaps you should watch the whole video and not let WSJ manipulate you by giving you an edited one. They're not stupid, they cut the video just right to make it look like Zelensky wasn't being a war-monger and uncivil.
1
Please, WSJ shows you a cut video to give you the exact impression that they want you to have. Zelensky is NOT a diplomat and he is not interested in the safety of Ukraine. Have you people watched any of his other interviews. The guys wants unlimited money and firepower to launch their own personal war with Russia. How can people pretend to know anything about this conflict when they keep relying on media outlets to do their critical thinking for them?

The age of the internet, yet people still can't do objective research. Does anybody think Russia would have invaded if (1. Kiev wasn't still sponsoring a civil war against eastern Ukrainians) (2. The US hadn't overthrown Kiev in 2014) and (3. NATO wasn't attempting to push Ukraine into their ranks?) Effectively ending any Ukrainian conflict on NATO terms, which is part of their protection clause.
