  15. Marvel is in a horrible position. It's not like the movies entirely failed, but they weren't anything to remember. Imagine if Harry Potter had averaged a D or C+ in it's final stretch of films. Making a whole new set of movies would be both redundant and exhausting. Failing allows for revival, but redundancy of 'average' films will lead to the death of an entire story.

The US economy post-war economy of the 1950s was the largest exporter in the world for just about anything, especially automobiles. The The power we held with a reserve currency was unparalleled by anything that had ever happened in human history. But, with great destruction comes great opportunity, as the sweat and productive output of the US worker 'in a world ravaged by war' paved the way for economic success. We no longer represent that idealism; not in practice or fantasy. The only thing we export is US dollars. Older generations do not understand this. Which is why they will either drive over the cliff or die before any true catastrophe befalls the American experiment.
