@thomaskim5008 Nursing is a death sentence bud; it's not what it used to be. If you take on massive debts and don't get a job in your field; you're done. If you take on massive debts and GET a job in your field; you'll die a slow and painful death. Nowadays, most RNs want to leave their hospital within 6 months. My wife is a PA and she's wanted out ever since her first year concluded. People really need to talk about how bad these industries are getting. The staff are disgruntled, the clients/patients are rude, and the benefits/pay isn't worth it anymore. Go pay cash for a CDL and drive a truck and save money; you'll thank me later.

@kim5008 You're living in the year 2000 buddy. Your comment smells of either retirement or over-optimistic youth. Things aren't what they used to be. There's a difference between working a job you hate and being worked to death 60 hours a week; doing the labor of 3 people. This is 2024 and the older demographics are completely out of touch with reality. The US Dollar has never seen this much depreciation; not even in 1977. I don't care what anybody says. Laziness and complaining are not the reasons people can't get ahead. There will come a time when you need to accept that the middle-class is essentially going extinct. No amount of 'bootstraps rhetoric' is going to change that.

@Ebbrush3 We had firearms like this even back in the 50s. Teenagers used to take long-guns in their trucks to be left at the high schools so they could go sport shooting afterwards. That was normal back then. Didn't seem to an issue back in those days. Now it's common place to have a mass shooting several times a week.

@thomaskim5008 If most college degrees are dead end. Why do people keep going to college? So any kind of reservation is complaining? I wonder if people that you know in real life tell you anything true; for fear you'll just say they're complaining. It's not a good model for socialization. I never said I know a job that offers everything you want. Perhaps you should listen more or offer less preconceived notions based on your own biases? I'm not trying to be rude, but your assertions and argument are nowhere near as intelligent as you seem to think they are. Having a conversation with somebody usually starts with empathizing their viewpoints. At this point, I think you're having a larger conversation with yourself. Good day...

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with you to some degree. Though keep in mind that a whopping majority of the violent crime is occurring in metropolitan areas nationwide. Sad, but African is quickly becoming a 2nd world country. I'd reckon they'd be 1st world by 2050. The United States is quickly turning into a 3rd world sh1thole; judging by the crime rate.
