This is actually a larger phenomenon than people know and they typically become extremely unstable people. We REALLY need to start forcing personality tests when we vet people for jobs, especially in education.

  4. There are always dummies on both sides. I've heard a LOT of crazy things (conspiratorial in nature) from people claiming to vote for Trump; mind you from friends, family, and others. However, there is one consistent problem I see when talking with Democrats. They are extremely predictable in their inability to rationalize and generate a response from either experience or competence on a given subject. Almost ALL of it comes from something they saw from a late-night comedy show or MSNBC. I think this is because Democrats largely depend on institutional thinking to allow them to live their lives. They are very good at particular things and abstracts, but do rather poorly on a range of random subjects. Republican voters on the other hand are typically uneducated, but they are much better at being 2 inches deep in any topic or competence hierarchy. Of course, this all comes down to personality. Conservatives are low in openness and typically high in conscientiousness. Liberals are great with abstracts and innovation, but they can't fix a toilet to save their lives.
