  1. I think people are largely ignoring that fact the Ukraine has not been a unified culture or country for quite some time. Eastern Ukraine (four Oblasts) have been trying to unite themselves with the Russian Federation since 2004. So to claim that Russian randomly invaded a sovereign country is ignorant. A good analogy would be to compare Mexico and the US. If the United States started a war against Latinos living in Texas that wanted to be annexed to Mexico. Then the Mexican Government retaliated. Nobody would say it was 'random'; as a term many like to use.
